Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift on a 13-week contract in Harrisburg, PA. The RN will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and orientees while delivering quality patient care per the nursing care plan.

Responsibilities include bedside assessments within 8 hours, coordinating patient education, documenting care, participating in rehab programs, and discharge planning. BLS and ACLS are required before the first shift, with ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
• ICU experience preferred.

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs for patients and their families based on assessment data.
• Provide patient updates during Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing staff.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with management regarding supplies, equipment needs, and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed following orientation.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
