Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift to support a 13-week contract. The role includes supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants, guiding orientees, and ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan to deliver high-quality patient care.

The RN will participate in discharge planning, provide timely condition updates, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift for specific units.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of an individualized plan of care.
• Identify educational needs and goals in collaboration with patients and families as well as with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and ensure quality patient outcomes through the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Provide timely updates on patient conditions to support continuity of care.
• Offer direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and delegate accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to patient handling, infectious disease control, and environmental safety.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and active self-study.

Job Description
