Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is seeking a RN PACU to provide post-anesthesia care in our ambulatory GI setting. The PACU RN delivers continuous evaluation, patient safety, and comfort, while assisting in procedure rooms as needed.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, BLS and ACLS (PALS as required by center), and 2 years of PACU/critical care experience preferred; schedule is weekdays only with occasional early mornings or late evenings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• Two years in PACU or critical care preferred.
• Ability to exercise nursing judgment.
• Strong prioritization and workload management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care and safety post-anesthesia.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and sterile technique.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and discharge planning.

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring a RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

We have 1 OR rooms and 3 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
