Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is seeking a RN PACU to provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures in an ambulatory setting. The RN will monitor patient condition, ensure safety and comfort, and coordinate with the surgical team to prepare patients for discharge.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure in Texas, BLS/ACLS, and prior PACU or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and discharge readiness.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring a RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

We have 1 OR rooms and 3 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
