Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is seeking a PRN RN PACU to provide post-anesthesia care in an outpatient surgical setting. The RN will monitor and support patients emerging from anesthesia, coordinate with surgical teams, and ensure safety and comfort throughout recovery.

The schedule emphasizes weekdays only with occasional early mornings or late evenings as the surgical flow requires. Graduates of an accredited RN program with an active Texas license and current BLS/ACLS are

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Assess patient condition continuously and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks and sterile techniques as needed.
• Care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation and prepare for discharge.

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is hiring a PRN RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
