Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is hiring a PRN RN PACU to provide continuity and high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia.

The PACU RN will monitor patient status, ensure safety and privacy, and assist physicians as needed. Experience in PACU or critical care is preferred; weekdays only with possible early mornings or late evenings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuity and quality nursing care for all PACU patients.
• Evaluates patient condition continually to ensure safety and comfort.
• Assists physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks and sterile techniques.

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is hiring a PRN RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
