Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring an RN PACU. The role provides care to patients emerging from anesthesia, with focus on safety, comfort, and readiness for discharge. The schedule is weekdays only, with possible early mornings and later evenings; no holidays, weekends, or on-call required.

You will work in a setting with 1 OR and 3 procedure rooms, supporting gastroenterology procedures and collaborating with physicians to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if center requires.
• 2 years' PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms, with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Monitor patient status and prepare for discharge.

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring an RN PACU. Welcome to Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress.

We have 1 OR rooms and 3 procedure rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Responsibilities

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
