Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress in Cypress, TX is seeking a RN PACU to provide high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia in a busy ambulatory setting.

The PACU RN will assist physicians in procedure rooms, manage conscious sedation, and ensure sterile techniques are followed. Schedule is weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school with TX license.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.
• 2 years' PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms, with conscious sedation and sterile technique as needed.
• Deliver total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including discharge planning.

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring a RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

We have 1 OR rooms and 3 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
