Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Inpatient) to deliver perioperative care for inpatients, serving as scrub and/or circulating nurse and coordinating care through the pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.

The role requires an RN license in the state, BLS, and nursing education; CNOR is preferred. You will prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, perform counts, monitor patients, and ensure safe handoffs with PACU staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• 1-2 years OR nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS certification required.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room, including instruments, supplies, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Functions as scrub or circulating nurse, maintaining sterile technique throughout surgery.
• Performs surgical counts and ensures accurate documentation of instruments, sponges, and devices.
• Monitors patient status and anticipates surgeon and anesthesia needs during procedures.
• Coordinates with pre-op and PACU staff to ensure safe patient handoff and continuity of care.
• Documents intraoperative care and maintains compliance with infection control standards.
