Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role focuses on perioperative care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, maintaining sterile field, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

The position requires ARIN licensure and BLS certification, plus OR nursing experience. The nurse will lead time-outs, ensure accurate counts, document procedures, and coordinate handoffs to PACU.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document accurate instrument, sponge and sharps counts with the scrub team.
• Handle, label and process surgical specimens according to policy.
• Document intra-operative care and provide handoff to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

Job Summary

Provides perioperative nursing care as a circulating nurse for surgical patients across the pre-operative, intra-operative and immediate post-operative phases. Maintains the sterile field, anticipates the needs of the surgical team, and advocates for patient safety throughout the procedure. Ensures accurate counts, specimen handling and documentation.

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Required
• Operating room or perioperative nursing experience: Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
