Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator for the Operating Room to lead and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will plan staffing, collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, ensure policy compliance, and promote staff development while maintaining quality outcomes and a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• RN license in Illinois (IDFPR) required or active/compact license.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 2 years of experience in an acute care OR setting.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and resource management to ensure policy adherence and quality patient care in the OR.
• Participate in department vision and planning.
• Plan and schedule staff to meet department and hospital needs.
• Assist surgical teams in day-to-day OR operations and coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Coordinate resources and resolve issues affecting patient and team care.
• Communicate across surgical support areas to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Oversee supplies and equipment and ensure stock availability.
• Interview and recommend hires; disciplinary actions as needed; evaluate staff performance.
• Contribute to staff development and monthly performance review meetings.
