Job summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Clinical Coordinator (RN) to lead our Surgical Services team and support daily surgical operations in a fast-paced perioperative environment. This full-time role emphasizes optimizing case flow and mentoring OR staff.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with an Illinois license, current BLS/ACLS, and at least 3 years in the OR, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN) with current Illinois license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years Operating Room nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow and surgical case flow in the Operating Room.
• Support and supervise OR nursing staff and surgical team members.
• Ensure adherence to clinical best practices, policies, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Help resolve real-time operational and patient care needs.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
