Job summary

Medasource seeks an experienced ED nurse leader for a trauma-focused assignment in a Georgia hospital. You will oversee initial primary and secondary surveys, coordinate care, and lead a team in high-acuity trauma scenarios within the emergency department.

The role requires TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, BLS, and PALS, plus 2 years of ED nursing or 1 year trauma experience, with strong IV and critical-thinking skills. Night/weekend shifts and a mandatory uniform color are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Two (2) year experience in emergency department nursing care and/or one (1) year experience in trauma nursing care.
• Must have TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Experience with mass transfusion protocols and level 1 rapid infuser is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate trauma/ER care in mass casualty scenarios.
• Perform emergency bedside procedures (IV placement, spinal stabilization, chest tube assistance, line placement).
• Communicate effectively with team and maintain high-quality patient care.
• Supervise nursing staff during high-acuity trauma cases.

Requested Skill Set Questions

Must have : Current TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience: Two (2) year experience in emergency department nursing care and/or one (1) year experience in trauma nursing care.

Advanced skills needed: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Other Attributes: Strong IV background, ability to independently run a mass transfusion through level 1 rapid infuser. Rapid critical thinking skills. Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong in problem solving skills. Comfortable with leading team in management of high acuity trauma as part of emergency department direct care nursing team.

Procedures performed on unit: IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, assisting with chest tube procedure, traction, central/ art line placement, emergency bedside procedures
