Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise daily nursing activities in a long-term care setting. The RN will ensure care quality aligns with federal, state, and local standards and will work with the Director of Nursing to implement policies and procedures.

The role requires coordinating nursing services with other resident services, participating in quality assurance, and managing patient discharge plans and personnel schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities to ensure the highest quality care.
• Direct nursing services in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Assist in directing day-to-day functions of nursing activities and maintain current reference materials.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and that staff comply with procedures.
• Provide reports and recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as required.
• Collaborate to coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance program and respond to government inspections.
• Review discharge plans and assist in planning the nursing portion of resident discharge.
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan services and activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required; complete incident reports as necessary.
