Job summary

PACS is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee day-to-day nursing activities and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local guidelines in a Texas long‑term care facility. The RN will supervise staff, participate in policy development, and lead quality assurance initiatives across committees.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree and be licensed as an RN.
• Two years or more of experience preferred in a long-term care facility.
• Current CPR certification required; PCC familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Assist in developing and updating nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Attend committee meetings and report on nursing service programs and activities.
• Ensure adequate staffing and assign responsibilities to nursing personnel.
• Maintain quality assurance and participate in facility surveys and discharge planning.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary and coordinate with physicians and residents.
