Job summary

Birmingham Green in Manassas, VA is seeking a Nurse Manager to assume 24-hour responsibility for resident care and oversee daily staffing. The role requires an RN license in Virginia and CPR certification, plus at least three years in long-term care with supervisory experience.

You will attend stand-up meetings, report on residents, supervise assignments, and participate in interviewing and hiring new staff.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered RN license to work as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Three years experience in long-term care facility, with one-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, e-mail and other general computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care.
• Handle emergency calls and inform Director of Nursing and Administrator when appropriate.
• Attend daily stand up meetings and report the status of residents and other related matters.
• Oversee daily assignments for staff.
• Interviewing and hiring process of all new candidates.
