Job summary

Birmingham Green in Manassas, VA seeks an experienced Nurse Manager (RN) to lead our nursing staff and oversee resident care across all shifts. The role requires directing performance, collaborating with families and physicians, and upholding quality care in a senior living community.

The ideal candidate has an active Virginia RN license, CPR/IV therapy certifications, and prior long-term care supervision. Strong leadership and compliance with regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered RN license in Virginia.
• CPR certification and IV therapy certification.
• At least 3 years in a long-term care facility with supervisory experience preferred.
• Alzheimer's/Dementia experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing laws, regulations and CMS guidelines.
• Proficient in MS Office and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement nursing services to meet resident medical needs.
• Coordinate resident admission with families and social services.
• Monitor care and develop care plans with physicians and staff.
• Maintain relationships with physicians, pharmacists, and service providers.
• Oversee staffing: interviewing, hiring, training.
• Investigate and respond to resident and family concerns.
• Coordinate ordering and care of supplies and equipment.
• Complete required forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.
• Ensure compliance with policies for personnel, residents, and visitors.
• Maintain/update written policies and procedures.
• Participate in surveys, inspections, in-service classes, and meetings.
• On-call rotation in Nursing Administration.
