Job summary

NHS Management, LLC in Birmingham, AL seeks an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing on a designated unit in our long-term care facility. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure quality patient care, coordinate with other departments and report to the Director of Nursing.

The role requires an active RN license, two years of nursing experience and one year of supervisory experience, plus strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by State required with long-term care or geriatric experience preferred.
• Minimum two years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience.
• Clerical ability to read reports and utilize data accurately for other purposes.
• Skill in organizing and planning programs and managing personnel to provide nursing service for residents.
• Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day patient care on the unit and supervise nurse staff.
• Report to the Director of Nursing to ensure quality patient care.
• Liaise between residents, families, and care teams to ensure satisfaction and compliance.
• Make regular rounds, observe residents, document treatments and nursing observations.
