Job summary

Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence (Aurora) seeks an RN Staff Development Coordinator to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service education in accordance with Life Care standards.

Qualified candidates hold a nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s), possess an active RN license, and have CPR certification. Teaching/education experience is preferred, with a focus on training nursing associates and maintaining training records.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing) required.
• Active RN license in good standing throughout employment.
• CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in service, and orientation.
• Maintain associate training and in service records.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.

Education
