Job summary

Genesis HealthCare's Mountain Ridge Center in New Hampshire is hiring a Full Time Nurse Practice Educator, RN. The role centers on orienting and educating nursing staff to ensure safe, effective care in line with federal, state and facility guidelines.

The educator will develop education programs, supervise orientation, conduct annual competency testing, and oversee the Employee Health Program, including vaccines and immunizations for staff, to sustain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the center and ensure safe, effective nursing care per guidelines.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate nursing staff performance.
• Oversee Employee Health Program including tracking TB and hepatitis vaccines and staff influenza immunizations.
