Job summary

Mountain Ridge Center seeks a Full-Time Nurse Practice Educator (RN) to orient and educate nursing staff, ensuring safe, evidence-based care in a long-term care setting. The role includes developing education programs, supervising new hires, and conducting annual competency assessments.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires a(n) RN license with prior long-term care and educator experience. Join a collaborative team focused on resident well-being and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the center to ensure safe, effective nursing care.
• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current patient care practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate nursing staff performance to identify education needs.
• Oversee Employee Health Program including TB/hepatitis vaccines and influenza immunizations.
