Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Connecticut seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator (NPD) to lead educational initiatives, close knowledge gaps, and support competency development across the nursing staff.

In collaboration with nursing leadership, you will promote professional development, establish ACE-based education aligned with ANA standards, and guide onboarding, orientation, and continuity of practice within a high-reliability, Lean-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year in an acute care environment or ambulatory/ancillary environment.
• Experience as a preceptor.
• Licensed RN in CT prior to hire; NPD or clinical specialty certification within 2 years of hire.
• BLS required.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning using adult education principles.
• Collaborate with nursing leaders to assess learning needs and develop programs.
• Monitor clinical competency and support action plans.
• Advance nursing practice through evidence-based initiatives.
• Oversee orientation and onboarding of new staff.
• Serve as change agent to transform processes; promote high reliability.
