Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse with labor and delivery experience to join our care team in Connecticut. You will provide direct nursing care, coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, and ensure individualized discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must have labor and delivery experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required, BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Two years of Medical-Surgical/Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates ability to assess patients and meet diverse care needs.
• Delegates care duties to nursing staff as appropriate.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
• Advances professional development and standards of nursing practice.
