Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse with labor and delivery experience to provide direct patient care according to established policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Connecticut RN license with BLS certification.
• Two years of Medical-Surgical or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition.
• Serves as primary coordinator of disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Provides individualized care considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and age-related needs.
• Delegates care to nursing staff to maximize performance.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and contributes input.
