Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse with labor and delivery experience to join our team. The role requires a Connecticut RN license and BLS certification, with BSN preferred.

Expect 12-hour shifts, on-call hours, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver exceptional maternal care. We offer Nurse Residency for new grads, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 after six months, loan forgiveness options, and comprehensive health benefits with PTO and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Must have labor and delivery experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates knowledge to assess patients and identify needs to provide individualized care.
• Delegates care to nursing staff to meet patient needs and maximize staff performance.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and provides input to meet desired outcomes.
