Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This full-time night position offers 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule, with a sign-on and retention bonus available.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians and the correctional healthcare team to ensure quality patient

Qualifications

Active RN license in Alabama.
BLS certification preferred.
Experience in correctional or acute care settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting.
Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Provide patient education and promote continuity of care.
Work collaboratively with the healthcare and correctional teams.
Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times.
