Job summary

Southern Health Partners, Inc. seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Tuscaloosa County Jail healthcare team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Full-time Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule. Sign On & Retention Bonus Available.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, respond to emergencies, maintain medical records, and educate patients while collaborating with physicians and the correctional health team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Provide patient education and promote continuity of care
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare and correctional teams
• Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times
