Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Alabama. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians and the correctional healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Provide patient education and promote continuity of care
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare and correctional teams
• Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times
