Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This full-time night-shift role runs from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule, with 12-hour shifts and a sign-on/retention bonus available.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting, perform assessments, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and maintain accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Provide patient education and promote continuity of care
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare and correctional teams
• Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times
