Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This full-time night position features 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting, perform assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Provide patient education and promote continuity of care.
