Job summary

Midland-Health-2 is seeking an RN with leadership responsibilities focused on patient safety and quality of care in a Women’s & Children’s Services setting. The role includes managing NICU, lactation, and childbirth education while overseeing program development in neonatology.

The position requires a BSN, Texas RN license, and leadership experience; certification in a neonatal specialty is preferred. A full-time schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with governance of quality and safety

Qualifications

  • BSN required; if not BSN upon hire, enrolled in BSN with graduation within 6 months.
  • Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certification in specialty (e.g., MNN, LRN, NIC) preferred.
  • Current BLS upon hire; NRP required within 6 months; STABLE courses preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of assigned areas (staffing, through-put, patient concerns, room assignments, data collection, process flow, staff utilization).
  • Oversee communication, growth and development of spans of control.
  • Conduct quality management audits and analyze data.
  • Implement corrective actions related to employee performance.
  • Foster communication and relationship building through shared decision making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead NICU, Lactation and Child Birth Education 60% of time; 40% program management in neonatology.
