Job summary

Midland-Health-2 is seeking a Clinical Manager focused on patient safety, operating within nursing scope and regulatory guidelines. The role leads daily unit operations, oversees NICU, Lactation and childbirth education, and reports to the Director of Women’s & Children’s Services.

You will balance 60% clinical program management in neonatology with 40% administrative responsibilities, guiding staff, ensuring compliance, and driving quality improvements across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• BSN required; if not held at hire, must enroll in BSN program with graduation within 6 months.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Certification in specialty area preferred (e.g., NIC, L&D).
• CPR/BLS required; NRP within 6 months; STABLE courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned areas including staffing, throughput, and patient/staff concerns.
• Lead communication and development within spans of control.
• Perform quality management audits and analyze data.
• Take corrective action on employee performance.
• Foster stakeholder relationships and shared decision making.
• Allocate 60% of time to NICU, Lactation, and Child Birth Education duties.
• Allocate 40% to program management.
• Report to Director of Women’s & Children’s Services.
• Chair neonatal QAPI monthly meetings.
