ARMStaffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a NICU-based Float Pool in New Jersey. The role involves floating between NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units to assign appropriate patients based on experience. Night shift is 3x12-hour blocks (19:00–08:00) with every other weekend.

This is a 13-week contract position. The ideal candidate will have a NJ or Compact RN license, BLS/NRP/PALS, and 1.5+ years NICU Level III and PICU experience, with strong IV therapy and medication administration

Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license.
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certs required.
• Minimum 1.5 years NICU Level III and PICU experience.
• Experience with IV therapy and administering medications.
• Proficient in neonatal and infant patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns.
• Manage A-line and Central Line care, including UAC/UVC.
• Administer medications and IV therapy, including vasopressors and surfactants.
• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and ventilator management.
• Conduct feedings and manage oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes.
• Assess and manage Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome patients.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our NICU-based Float Pool. This position requires a dedicated professional who is prepared to float between the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Pediatric units as needed, ensuring an appropriate patient assignment based on experience and skill set.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns.
• Manage A-line and Central Line care, as well as UAC/UVC.
• Administer medications and IV therapy, including vasopressors and surfactants.
• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and ventilator management (including various modes such as AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BIPAP, and PEEP).
• Conduct feedings (bottle, breast, gavage) and manage oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes.
• Assess and manage Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome patients.

Required Experience and Certifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certification required.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of documented NICU Level III and PICU experience.
• Experience with IV therapy and administering medications.
• Proficient in patient care techniques including the care for neonates and infants.
