Job summary

ARMStaffing in Dayton, OH is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for NICU on a 13‑week contract. You will provide neonate-focused care, float to inpatient units as needed, and work a night schedule (19:00–07:00) with weekends required.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio RN license, CPR and NRP certs, and 1–2+ years NICU experience. You should be proficient with central/PICC/umbilical line care and various oxygen delivery methods.

Qualifications

  • Requires active RN license in Ohio and CPR/NRP certifications.
  • Minimum 1 year NICU experience, preferably 2+ years.
  • Competency with central lines, PICC, and umbilical lines.
  • Familiarity with oxygen delivery including N/C, high flow, CPAP, NIV, and ventilators.

  • Provide high-quality NICU nursing care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to patient needs.
  • Perform central line insertions and assist with intubation as needed.
  • Document patient information in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop care plans.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends are required, typically every third weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our NICU department. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to neonates and infants, utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge to support our patients and their families. This position requires a flexible approach, as nurses may be required to float to inpatient units depending on departmental needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to NICU patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor vital signs and respond to patient needs promptly.
  • Perform and assist with specialized procedures such as central line insertions and intubation.
  • Document patient information and care in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active and unrestricted RN License in Ohio.
  • CPR and NRP certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience, preferably more than 2 years.
  • Competency in central line, PICC, and umbilical line procedures.
  • Familiarity with various forms of oxygen delivery including N/C, high flow, CPAP, NIV, and ventilator settings.
  • Preferred experience with G-Tubes and tracheostomy care.
