Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join the team in Dallas. You will care for neonates in a Level III/IV NICU, coordinating care and ensuring smooth transitions for fragile patients.

The role requires hands-on NICU expertise, EPIC EMR proficiency, and an active Texas or Compact RN license with BLS certification. Supervisory references and a detailed resume are requested as part of the application.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of current Level III or Level IV NICU experience.
  • Experience with HIE, surfactant administration, and PICC line placement is required.
  • Active Texas or Compact RN license.
  • EPIC experience is required.
  • Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Submission of supervisory references and a detailed resume required.

Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Weekend availability required (Friday & Saturday)

Job Description

The RN is a licensed professional who uses the nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery, focusing on specific health conditions in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient responses.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess patients and deliver appropriate care.
  • Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel based on individual patient conditions and competencies.
  • Assist patients in transitioning through the healthcare system efficiently, minimizing complications and delays.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of current Level III or Level IV NICU experience.
  • Experience with HIE, surfactant administration, and PICC line placement is required.
  • Active Texas or Compact RN license.
  • EPIC experience is required.
  • Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
