Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Travel Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in caring for premature and critically ill neonates in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Management of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy
- Mechanical ventilation management and surfactant administration
- Line management including umbilical venous catheter (UVC) and umbilical arterial catheter (UAC)
- PICC line management and maintenance
- Administration of blood products, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), and lipids
- Phototherapy for hyperbilirubinemia and feeding tube placement
- Management of therapeutic hypothermia protocols
- Medication and infusion management in a neonatal setting
- Conducting discharge planning and caregiver education
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years recent Level 3 or greater NICU experience
- Experience with respiratory support for neonates
- Competency in managing patients on CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and mechanical ventilation
- Experience with umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), PICC lines, and central line management
- Experience administering and monitoring parenteral nutrition, IV medications, and neonatal drips
- Proficiency in neonatal assessment and stabilization
- Current RN License
- Certifications: NRP, BLS, STABLE
