Job summary

Medical City Alliance in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a registered nurse for Perinatal PRN with OB/NICU focus. You will support planning, coordination and delivery of perinatal services while collaborating with leadership to meet safety and quality goals.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree (BSN preferred), Texas RN license, BLS, NRP, and 2+ years in labor & delivery. Specialty certs are a plus; PRN hours apply.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • BSN preferred; BSN must be completed within 3 years of employment.
  • RN license in Texas required; BLS and NRP certification needed.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in labor & delivery.
  • Specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes.
  • Resolves patient concerns using multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • Protects patients and employees by infection control and medication safety procedures.
  • Serve as liaison among hospital, patient and clinics to deliver streamlined care.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative and operational functions for OB and NICU services.
  • Collaborates with leadership to achieve goals at patient, department and hospital levels.
  • Maintains patient safety and quality assurance standards.

Job Summary And Qualifications
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
  • Resolves patient concerns and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Serve as the liaison for the hospital, patient and provider clinics in the realm of communication to deliver streamlined care.
  • Perform day to day administrative and operational functions of the planning, coordination and delivery of OB and NICU services to patients.
  • Collaborates with leadership and other departments to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives at the patient, department and hospital level.
  • Maintains and achieves patient safety and quality assurance standards set by management.
Position Qualifications
Education/Skills:
  • Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
  • BSN will be required within 3 years of employment.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in labor & delivery is required.
Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications
  • RN license eligible to practice in the state of Texas
  • Current BLS required from an approved HCA vendor
  • Current NRP required from an approved HCA vendor
  • Specialty certification preferred
