Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's White Oak Medical Center in Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse to educate patients and families across the continuum of care while advancing knowledge through feedback from senior nurses. The RN will mentor students and colleagues, follow ANA standards, use electronic resources for best practices, and develop care plans.

A Maryland RN license, NCLEX, BLS, and 1 year of experience are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
