White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for our Observation Unit in Maryland. The RN educates patients and families, serves as a role model, and develops care plans while monitoring patient conditions.

Mentors team members and conducts patient-centered rounds daily. The ideal candidate has a nursing degree, Maryland RN licensure, and active BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by the specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area (for Observation: ACLS).

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Educate teams and act as role model for Level I nurses.
• Develop a plan of care and monitor patient changes.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspective.
• Utilize electronic resources to support best practices.
