Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Maryland seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Med Surg to educate patients and families across the continuum of care and model nursing excellence. You will mentor staff, develop care plans, and lead rounds with a patient-centered focus.

The role requires Maryland RN licensure, NCLEX, BLS and at least 1 year of RN experience, with ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed by specialty. Night shifts, full-time schedule, with comprehensive benefits and support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX required.
• Active Maryland nursing license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspective.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in evidence-based changes.
