Job summary

Adventist HealthCare’s White Oak Medical Center in Maryland seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in the Heart and Vascular Unit to educate patients, coordinate care, and model professional standards. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and family engagement in the care plan.

You will mentor teammates, utilize electronic resources, and develop individualized care plans while monitoring patient changes and guiding families through the treatment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX exam.
• Maryland RN license active.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty area.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model and support best practices in patient care.
• Develop and implement care plans for patient population.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspectives.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and apply evidence-based changes.
