Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intermediate Care Unit who will educate patients and families through the continuum of care and model professional nursing practice. The role requires Maryland RN license, NCLEX, BLS, and 1 year of RN experience.

You will mentor students, use electronic resources, and participate in evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Apply evidence to practice and identify opportunities for improvement.
