Adventist HealthCare's White Oak Medical Center in Maryland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit. You will educate patients and families, serve as a role model for junior nurses, and uphold our mission to provide compassionate, faith-based care.

You will monitor patient conditions, develop care plans, mentor staff, and participate in evidence-based practice to improve outcomes in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care while also striving to advance their own knowledge and skills.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice while upholding Adventist HealthCare values.
• Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
