Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse II (RN) for the ICU Night Shift. This full-time role suits new graduates aiming to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

You will educate patients and families, mentor Level I nurses, follow ANA standards of practice, and ensure accurate use of equipment. A Maryland RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as required are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly to maximize efficiency.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
