Schedule: 7pm-7am, 36-hour week.

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, evidence-based practice, and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the Wellstar Values.

All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the nursing practices outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics. They are expected to advocate for patients, adhere to policies, and support service excellence.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Perform nursing processes incorporating evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and individualized care, coordinating effectively with the care team.
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity.
• Partner with patients and families using appropriate communication methods, ensuring patient goals guide the care plan.
• Practice according to current clinical standards.
• Coordinate safe, quality care documentation and promote a respectful, inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities.
• Complete professional competency assessments and serve as preceptor or mentor.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in data collection and research activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors in Nursing (Preferred).

• Less than 1 year of clinical experience post-nursing education.
