Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit to provide compassionate patient care on night shifts. This full-time role includes a $20,000 commitment bonus for a two-year employment commitment.

You will assess needs, administer treatments, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality care across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
