Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care Overflow. This full-time night position includes a $20,000 bonus with a two-year commitment (one year on nights) and rotating weekends.

In this role you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, document care, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the care team to support safe, effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
