Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical care. This full-time night shift position includes a $20,000 commitment bonus and a mission-driven team delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration.
• Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Exposure: occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
