Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking an RN for a Post Acute Nursing unit. The role involves night shift, full-time hours (6:30-7:00), with rotating weekends. Commitment bonus available for a two-year term (one-year on nights).

Responsibilities include direct patient care, care planning, education for patients and families, EMR documentation, and collaboration with the health care team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN provides care using nursing process per standards and policies.
• Under supervision, plans, delegates and coordinates nursing care.
• Maintains standards of care with ethical professional conduct.
• Assesses educational needs of patient/family and plans education.
• Provides care for adult, geriatric, adolescent and pediatric populations.
• Documents care and patient responses in EMR systems.
• Coordinates with physicians, pharmacists, therapists and other staff.
• Delivers medications and manages IVs, blood products and analgesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and apply nursing process.
• Plan, delegate and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Ensure quality care and ethical practice.
• Educate patients and families using teach-back methods.
• Document assessments, plans and interventions in EMR.
• Supervise staff assignments based on acuity.
• Respond to emergencies and life-threatening events.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
