Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical unit. The role involves 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a) with rotating weekends, delivering comprehensive medical-surgical care in an 18-bed unit, and working under strong leadership to provide high-quality patient care.

Eligible for a commitment bonus of $20,000 for experienced RNs or $10,000 for new graduates. Applicants should have an NC license (or multi-state), and an ADN is required with a BSN

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state/compact).
• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1–3 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments.
• Creates and implements plan of care including medication administration and treatments.
• Documents all patient care accurately.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates updates to care team and family.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Coordinates patient discharge, transfers, and referrals with other disciplines.
• Provides education to patients and families tailored to age and culture.
• Acts as advocate for patient safety and well-being.
